I have zero expectations for this.

Actually, let’s backtrack really fast.

Hi, for those of you who don’t know, my name is Mia. Nice to meet you. And for those who I DO know, Hello! A pleasure to see you again.

Either way, thanks for coming on here just to hear me ramble.

Okay, back to what I was saying. I really don’t know where this will go. Remember when Michael Scott said, “Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.” That is 100% my situation right now.

But honestly, I’m not complaining. Just like this blog, I am starting this new year with zero expectations. In fact, it’s my new year’s resolution.

If this blog becomes successful – Great.

If this blog is a flop – Still Great.

If I routinely upload on here – Awesome.

If I upload whenever I want/can – Still Awesome.

The thing is when you have no expectations, its impossible to be disappointed. The problem when I tell this to people is that they get the terms expectations and standards mixed up.

Having zero expectations does not mean a one-way ticket to half-assing everything I do. It means, I’m just being a little more open-minded and a little less high maintenance. That’s it.  We can still have goals to strive for and standards for ourselves with zero expectations. So for this year and for this blog, I am going to take it as easy as possible while continuing to meet my personal standards.

This all ultimately goes towards my mantra and website’s slogan, “Making Happy My Habit”

I fully believe that if you keep your mindset positive and stay self-aware of what you need and deserve, you can lead yourself to a happier version of you. Just like all of us, I am on that journey. And I am definitely still trying to figure it out.

I am so excited to embark on this adventure with you all. I have so many ideas for here and I cannot wait to start sharing them with you. But until those ideas come to life, on my home page in the menu, you guys can find two tabs under the names ‘My Vision Board’ and ‘The Crew’. There you can see a little more inside my world. My vision board is a story told in pictures of my goals for this new year. The Crew is a look inside my home with pictures of the babies that stole my heart.  My pets. God, I love them. Those features should hold you over until my next official blog post. Woah, that is so crazy to think. Does this mean I can call myself a blogger now?

Thanks again for reading, and remember, Make happy YOUR habit!

xoxo, Mia
